ROLES FOR WOMEN:
Roxie Dawes/Nox Avalon (Adult 30s/any ethnicity/American accent/cisgender or transgender or non-binary fem)
Roxie has a complicated history with Genesis Avalon. After being killed, then resurrected by Avalon's foe Sekmet, then killed again, then resurrected(AGAIN), she has been a dark perversion of the mantle of Genesis Avalon and is now one of the reincarnated Knights of the Round, Sir Tristan. Wielding Egyptian magic as Nox Avalon, she is the ultimate "Cool Chick". She's also dating Merlin. Her life is weird and somehow... she rolls with it. RECURRING ROLE.
This is a recast of a major supporting role and will be in every other episode of this season.
LINE 1: You see that bridge in the distance? Kind of disappears into the mists? I walked across it a long, long time ago. Nephtys gave me the ability - on faith - to see things in the crossroads. It’s why I could see the spriggan, the Pixies and the banshees before you guys did. And if I can see everything here, then... this is another crossroads. Like, the crossroads.
LINE 2: (as Nox Avalon, profound and incanting a spell. Harsh and rough compared to Genesis Avalon) Heka, you who existed before the time of duality… pull this man from the spaces between.
ROLES FOR MEN:
Gabe Sinclair/Sir Galahad (adult 30s/any ethnicity/Scottish accent/cisgender, transgender, non-binary)
One of the reincarnated Knights of the Round Table, Gabe has been a steadfast presence by Tim's side since college. He can be grumbly, he can be charismatic, but mostly, these days? He's bloody tired of all this magic mucking things about. RECURRING ROLE.
This is a last-minute recast of a recurring role, so there will be a pretty quick turnaround for the first episode.
LINE 1: Och, my bloody shoulder is gonna be sore for a week. Guess it’s time to go to the doctor.
LINE 2: I’m sorry, are you bloody serious, Tim? Ye’re talking about fellow citizens. Of the United Kingdom. You know, same place we’re from.
LINE 3: Cooper is a Knight of the Round, and if he says something strange was going on, we owe it to him to listen.
Ninurta (adult 30-50/any ethnicity/any accent/cisgender, transgender, non-binary)
Ancient Sumerian god of the Harvest, Ninurta was once the god of plenty. As his worshippers became hungry for war instead of crops, however... so did he. RECURRING ROLE.
LINE 1: (in full god voice, he sounds serene and at peace, like the god of agriculture he
once was) You have been a useful tool. So is a scythe. But, at least when I harvest grain, I can grind it. Mill it. Make bread with it. What have you brought to harvest?
LINE 2: (acting like a normal civilian, not using his god voice) The President is fielding questions from the Senate today on why the execution went so horribly. Losing that Senator from New York was a bad look.
