New York Gazette - Rampant Virus Causes Quarantine
Beth Carpenter
NEW YORK CITY - The most recent outbreak of the most deadly virus to hit the United States has forced government officials to quarantine New York City until a solution can be found, forcing residents to remain in the city away from family, friends and businesses. No one is being allowed in or out of the city and residents is being advised to wear safety apparatus, such as particle masks, gloves and other hazmat items. The quarantine around the city has been set at 10 miles but officials fear that it may not be enough.
It is believed that the virus, which exhibits flu-like symptoms upon onset, has a five day gestation period. Within two days the symptoms worsen, causing lethargy, weakness and in some cases, paralysis or numbness of the arms, legs, hands and feet. Dr. Evan Spencer, the leading virologist at University General Hospital encourages everyone to take precautions. "Right now this virus is running rampant through the city. We have already lost some patients due to organ failure caused by unknown reasons that we are attributing to this virus.  Stay indoors, wear masks and safety gear if you have to go out and if you come into contact with anyone exhibiting symptoms of the flu, immediately go to your local ER as you may be infected." - Click Here for the rest of the story.

Sources inside the White House state that the President was pressured by his cabinet to cancel the press conference all together, and spent the two hours in heavy debate with them.
At 5:16 PM, the President began the Press Conference. Regardless of the numerous questions asked in regards to the New York City quarantine, as well as the rumors that the vigilantes known as Genesis and Exodus Avalon were actually terrorists, the President remained silent on this issue, with one notable exception:
The President stated that: "The vigilante situation in New York has been handled by the local law enforcement to the best of their ability. Regardless of intention, vigilantism is illegal, and given the high casualty rate, as well as the dangerous environment there, it is unlikely that these Avalons are ethical or moral individuals." - Click Here for the rest of the story

Amidst Obstacles, Clean Up Continues
Martha Pellson
NEW YORK CITY - Clean up efforts continued in the Rockefeller plaza this week even after the most recent demonic attack that left city workers shaken but determined. After weeks of constant battle causing millions of dollars in damage to businesses, buildings, homes and individuals, the silence and lack of movement from Genesis or Exodus Avalon - or the demonic forces at work - has allow the city to make headway in the clean-up effort.
"It's not that we haven't been cleaning all this time," Foreman Andrew Austen stated. "We're just finally starting to get to the bottom of the piles and finding the real damage done to property and the streets." Austen , a 56 year old retired police officer of the New York Police Department, is no stranger to the damage in this city. Austen retired early after injuries sustained during the evacuation efforts of the September 11th attacks. But, that does not dissuade him from leading clean-up efforts now. "Someone's got to do it. We got people in capes flying around over our heads... [they] can't do it all. We have to pitch in."
With no relief funds coming from the government, though, the clean-up has been entirely voluntary, and there have been 16 injuries reported from various instabilities and falling debris. The New York division of the American Red Cross have been lending a hand as well, keeping first aid stations open at every clean up station. - Click Here for the rest of the story.
