Like the person he now calls his "muse," William Raymer's destiny changed forever on February 27th, 1997. On that day, actress/singer Joanna Pacitti was fired from the 20th anniversary revival of the Broadway musical classic Annie.
Raymer, upon hearing of Pacitti's termination, wrote a short story based on the Power Rangers Zeo television series featuring Pacitti as a friend of one of the Rangers. After completing the story, Raymer realized he had a knack for writing.
That one incident has provided William with inspirations to start many of the opportunities in his life.
Today, Raymer is what you would call a "Renaissance man." He is an accomplished writer, having written a series of stories for the most popular fan site dedicated to the 1997 animated motion picture Cats Don't Dance, as well as an episode of the upcoming Star Trek: Odyssey, a spin-off of the critically-acclaimed Star Trek: Hidden Frontier fan-film series.
He is also a member of the Closing Logo Group Video Network, a Yahoo network-based entity dedicated to the presentation and preservation of motion picture and television production company logos. Within the CLGVN, he is known as the creator of "SFM++," the most popular film series produced by the Network.
Every time William starts a new project, he looks at the autographed picture of Joanna Pacitti on his computer desk ("To William. Best Wishes. Love, Joanna.") and hopes that she will continue to provide William Carey Raymer with the strength and inspiration to continue his evolution.
