Sertan Saral

Sertan Saral is a third-year Arts student currently
studying at the University of Sydney. Having lived in Sydney, Australia all of his life, he first noticed he might have a thing for writing when he wrote and received full marks for a time travel short story in the seventh grade. He's aware that such an inclusion in a bio is hopelessly, perhaps desperately, egotistic. Ignore it and move on.

Sertan enjoys his part-time job at Video Ezy, particularly because he gets to watch several films a week for free.

For the past year, Sertan has been passionately involved in impromptu theatre, performing every two to three weeks at his university (except during study vacation). His ultimate aim in life is to pursue a career in acting and writing.

Sertan's first writing project was a fan screenplay, an origin story of Superman, which he wrote to gain experience in the medium. Future projects in the works include "The Incurable Drug" (working title), a bio of one of history's greatest spies, Kim Philby, and an untitled romantic comedy.

Sertan was offered to write, produce and direct an audio play for Pendant Productions titled "Batman: The Ace of Detectives". This is his first project that will be received by an audience beyond his own family and friends.
