Philip Weber

In the shadow of the book depository building and nary three years before Neil Armstrong put his footprint on that sound stage back lot….Philip Weber was the first born, son of a former cheerleader/stock broker and a debutant in a suburb of Dallas, Texas!

Early on, craving the adulation of the matriarch of his mother’s side of the family, as well as yearning to be a thorn in the side of all nuns at his primary school, Philip found a penchant for attention getting performances and doodling during class, church…detention…while squatted upon by the muse of comic strips.

Philip has worked in radio since 1986 and has always had fun doing voices. He gleaned what he could in "acting" (to use the term loosely) as a communications/theater double major at the University of Denver and during his time with The Second City in Chicago. His father "turned him on" to old time radio shows and he was adamant that there was still an audience out there for said…and alas, he stumbled upon Pendant Audio DOT COM by way of the Superman Homepage.

Philip enjoys reading to his two daughters in character voices without hearing the standard "Talk regular Daddy"! He is an avid collector of Superman…um…anything and is a published cartoonist!

Philip LOVES comic books, children's books (he is actually working on a series which he is writing and illustrating to help get younger kids into Superheroes!), the Harry Potter series, The Spiderwick Chronicles and has been trying to get through the second Dragon-Rider book for months. He is an avid student of cartoons, animation and voice over…alas…comic book collecting has been on hiatus for some time now….stupid mortgage!

He is glad to have found like-minded voice over thespian-ish individuals here at Pendant Audio…

As a side note, Philip also welcomes any opportunity to refer to himself in the third person…
