MJ Cogburn

MJ is currently a full-time mother of three (a 16 year old daughter and twin sons who are 13), wife, high school English teacher and has so far managed to stay on the edge of sanity - but only by a hair. Currently at the very young age of 38, she has played various roles in the course of her life - as if being a teacher, a mother, a writer, an actor, a production artist weren't enough.

She has written over nine years to help hone her craft. She has written many Quantum Leap stories to continue the saga of Dr. Samuel Beckett traveling in time; which can be found at Al's Place.

She began her audio adventures in voice acting and/or audio production in late 2002 and has been affiliated since then with the following audio production companies: BrokenSea, Circus 13, Colonial Radio Theatre, Darker Projects, Giant Gnome, Gypsy, Misfits, and Pendant.

The various roles she has been in - mostly have been minor rolls, save for Tamlynn PI and the various roles she plays in Quantum Retribution as Siren and Tala Lothoman. Her most recent performance with Pendant has been in Red Sands Investigations as a gypsy.

MJ has self-taught herself how to produce audio - beginning with some little scenes with Quantum Leap which can be found at Al's Place - The Radio Files. She was off the mixing boards for about two years until she found Darker Projects and began mixing for them. She began with a Night Terror called: The Horror of Cardmoor Abbey. She produced Body Slam Alley and Yuppo Knows over at BrokenSea. She has been producing Quantum Retribution - a series which is the flip side of the Quantum Leap coin at Darker Projects. She also did a production of the 13th Hour with Giant Gnome Productions. She is currently producing audio for Colonial Radio Theatre on the Air. She has produced some of the following while there: The Father Brown Mysteries, Jerry and the Pirates, Moonfleet, Jarrem Lee: Ghosthunter, and is currently working on Buck Alice and the Actor Robot.

As well as producing, writing, editing and the whatnot, MJ is also the Communications Officer at Darker Projects as well as the acting Audio Production Head.

If anyone piles any more work on this poor girl... she'll probably flip out, begin gnashing her teeth in despair, stand on top of her desk and with a cackling laugh begin to do the chicken dance.... And trust me, no one wants to see that!
